Today, we’re going to talk about the Dominion, which is an exclusive neighborhood in San Antonio. We did a video about this back in 2019 and it’s been very popular, so I thought it’d be time to go ahead and give you guys an update and show you what’s happening in the Dominion today.

The Dominion is considered one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in San Antonio Here is the map of San Antonio. As you may have noticed in one of my other videos, I described it as a wheel. So you’ve got the center wheel, which is a loop 410, and you’ve got loop 1604, and then these various spokes that go out from the center of the wheel. To find the Dominion, you go straight out I-10 from the center of town just outside of loop 1604. On the right of I-10 is the Dominion. There is an exit for it straight off of I-10.
SHOPPING, DINING, AND ENTERTAINMENT
There are plenty of shopping opportunities, both at The Rim as well as La Cantera, which are both open air shopping centers near the Dominion. Nearby, there’s fine dining as well as casual restaurants. For entertainment, there’s Topgolf as well as the Palladium movie theater, and then you also have Fiesta Texas, which is great for family entertainment.
AMENITIES AT THE DOMINION
Here’s a view of the clubhouse pool. You can see it’s very open. There’s also lots of seating and dining indoors and out. The tennis club is set up for adults as well as juniors and they also have kids’ day camps during the summertime. Since the Dominion is an exclusive property, you’ll find their security at the entrances at every location. As you drive past the guard gate, one of the things you’ll notice is the well-groomed landscaping as well as mature trees. It’s always lush and beautiful.
ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND PRICING
Many of the homes here are set on a half acre or more, and you’ll notice that they’re set back from the main road. You’ll find grand driveways as well as multiple garages, often three car garages or more. Next, we’re going to talk about the pricing in this neighborhood. In the last six months, the average price sold was over 800,000 and the median was just under a million. The sold price range for the last six months was between 390,000 and 3.3 million. Here’s just a sampling of some of the homes that sold in the last six months so you can see the architecture and types of detailing to expect. Luxury materials such as stucco and stone often adorn the homes as well as tile roofs, or you might even find a luxury metal roof on occasion.

The next day is also on Esquire. You’ll notice as the pricing goes up, so do the amenities as well as details. This home is over 13,000 square feet, seven bedrooms, seven baths with the lush backyard space to die for. Many professional sports players with the Spurs, as well as celebrities have lived in the Dominion. George Strait once called this property his home at 10 Davenport in the Dominion. This home sits at the top of the Dominion and is listed at 7.5 million. There’s lots of details and custom features throughout the home. There’s actually 14 fireplaces. This built tall, custom home was built with all of the luxury details you can see here as well as many others.
